The Saga Of Spirituality: The Annual Day cum Scholar Badge Ceremony

Reprising the timeless devotion of the 16th century Bhakti saint, the students of Modern Delhi International School, Sector-89 put up a resplendent musical play— Surdas: A Vision Beyond Sight—at the Annual Day cum Scholar Badge Ceremony on 28th November 2024. On the first day of this massive three-day event, around 500 meritorious students of Sector -87 & 89 of Classes II to XII were felicitated for their outstanding accomplishments in the scholastic and co-scholastic arenas. Gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest, Dr Sanjeev Singh, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital, Greater Faridabad, was enraptured by the plethora of impeccable and confident cultural presentations. The audience comprising the luminaries, parents and the grandparents beamed with pride as the dynamic scholars took the centre stage in the riveting presentation of the School Report. With the release of the Souvenir that earmarked the glorious achievements and the concerted efforts of the young minds, a deafening applause resounded in the packed Amphitheatre. Congratulating the students on their phenomenal performance, Dr U.S. Verma, the Director Principal, shared his profound insight into the ways to transcend all odds and have faith in the divinity in their trajectory of triumph. In his heartfelt address to the enthusiastic gathering, Dr Singh extolled the efforts of Team MDIS helmed by the visionary leadership of Dr Verma, who paved the way for excellence across all endeavours. As the curtains closed on Day 1 of the mega event, the spirited rendition of the National Anthem bound all and sundry in the sacred ties of unity and fraternity.

A Celebration of the Undiminishing ‘Honsla’- Annual Day cum Scholar Badge Ceremony

Home to the brilliant scholars and trailblazers, Modern Delhi Public School believes in instilling the   21st century skill-sets to hone bold, assertive and confident global citizens. Breaking the wintry spell with an array of spellbinding performances, the Annual Day cum Scholar Badge Ceremony witnessed the multifarious talents of the iridescent spirits of Classes VI to XII. A celebration of the achievements of the meritorious students in scholastic and co-scholastic arena, the four day event was graced by the luminaries from all walks of life. The dignitaries- Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey (Union Minister), Ministry of Heavy Industries, Shri Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Minister of State, Vocational Education and Skill Development Department, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Shri. Vijay Partap Singh, DCP Crime, Gurugram, Shri Alok Mittal, Additional Director General of Police, Haryana, Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad – were accorded a warm welcome by Dr. Udai Verma, Director Principal, the members of the Society and the Managing Committee. Post the lamp lighting ceremony, the powerful rendition of the original composition- ‘Namo Namo’ by the school choir, offering a glowing tribute to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi garnered a thunderous applause. Releasing the school magazine- ‘Udaan- The Flight to the Future’, Dr. Verma along with the esteemed guests unveiled the literary prowess of the students across different age groups who penned their articles, poems and stories on diverse themes ranging from hope, humour to courage and leadership. More than 1500 young learners were felicitated with tablets, scholarships, blue blazers and ties for their exemplary academic and co-curricular feats in the Prize Distribution Ceremony that was conducted in a phased manner. The event culminated with the magnum opus, हौसलों के बादशाह– The Man of Valour- Shri Narendra Modi, a tribute to the remarkable journey of an ordinary man who scaled extraordinary heights. Directed by the renowned thespian, Mr. Shailendra Goel, the three hour cultural extravaganza that exhibited the flair for dance, music and drama of the joyous hearts received a standing ovation. Lauding the outstanding presentation, Dr. Udai Verma inspired one and all to rise above the trials and tribulations of life with courage and determination. He shared how the life of our Hon’ble Prime Minister bears testimony to the fact that success comes to those who relentlessly persevere and remain dedicated to the vision of creating a progressive society. Delivering her vote of thanks, Ms. Madhu Malik, the Vice Principal, extended her gratitude to the entire fraternity of Modern Dipsites who put in Herculean efforts to ensure the success of the grand event. With the culmination of the spectacle spectacular, the emboldened hearts now look forward to the resplendent horizons of learning, all set to etch their names in the hall of fame with renewed vigour.

In Pursuit of Happiness: The Annual Presentation of Class I Wins Hearts

Unlocking the secrets of happiness, the Annual Presentation of Class I enthralled all and sundry with its delightful synergy of talents and skills. The mega event was graced by Dr Pratibha Singhi, Head of Department, Pediatric Neurology, Amrita Hospital, Greater Faridabad. Through the stage adaptation of the renowned writer and philanthropist Sudha Murty’s short story ‘Who Was The Happiest Of Them All?’, the children brought to life the vital lesson of contentment and the significance of finding bliss in securing inner peace instead of constantly yearning for transitory material pleasures. The symphony of dance, music and drama held the audience spellbound who lauded the brilliant performances with a thunderous applause. Addressing the gathering, Dr U.S. Verma, the Director Principal, shared his insights on the need to safeguard mental health in the fiercely competitive world. He further motivated the children to focus on personal growth as comparison is a thief of joy. Congratulating the students on their outstanding presentation, the Chief Guest lauded the untiring efforts of the team of Modern Delhi International School who leave no stone unturned to ensure the holistic development of the dynamic minds.

Make Way for the Future Leaders- The Annual Presentation of Class Prep. Wins Hearts

Embarking on the educative journey with gusto, Modern Delhi Public School empowers the young learners with the zeal to enhance their potential and dazzle the world with the radiance of their confidence. The Annual Presentation of Class Prep. witnessed the overwhelming participation of the tiny tots who won the hearts of the spectators by the dint of their outstanding performances. The mega event was graced by Dr. Meenakshi Yadav Dhar, Senior Consultant Ophthalmology, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. From the spirited oration to the flawless musical presentation of the play ‘The Kingdom of Fools’, the young learners left no stone unturned to exhibit their flair for Visual and Performing Arts. Donning the characters from the classical folk tale by the renowned playwright Bharatendu Harishchandra, the deft portrayal highlighted the follies and foibles that cloud sound judgement and underscored the need to rise above power and position to usher peace and prosperity. Lauding the young performers for putting up a remarkable show, Dr. Udai Verma, the Director Principal emphasised on the need to embrace the 21st century skill-sets to emerge as the conscientious world citizens. Motivating the children to be the strong advocates of love, compassion and harmony, Dr. Meenakshi further urged them to be the harbingers of hope and surmount all challenges in life with a smile. As the joyous hearts beamed with pride at the warm reception, the stakeholders took to the stage to thank the institution for facilitating the young minds to learn, grow and evolve as bold and assertive individuals.

Annual Presentation – The Selfish Giant

“Owning things our lives define but learning to share makes it divine.” Amidst grandiosity and mirth, the zealous learners of Class 3 and 4 exhibited their knack for theatre in a magnanimous Annual Presentation. Revelling extravaganza, burgeoning scholars of Modern Delhi Public School, Sector-89 staged Oscar Wilde’s stroke of genius, ‘The Selfish Giant’ with much éclat. The event was presided over by Dr. (Col.) Reema Bhatt, Professor and HOD, Fetal Maternal Medicine, Amrita Hospital, Greater Faridabad. The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating a festive mood. The lucid presentation not only unveiled the eloquence of young Modern Dipsites but also showcased their confident impersonation. The apex of the show was the euphonic ambience created by the acoustic song presentation embellished by exquisite dance performances. The ethereal blend was appreciated by each one witnessing it. Extolling the incredible performance, Dr. (Col.) Reema Bhatt congratulated the entire MDPS family on presenting such a phenomenal show highlighting the simple joys one experiences by sharing and being kind. She recognised and appreciated the unfaltering efforts of the facilitators for chiselling students who are both academically sound and ethically adept. She expounded the fact the school has once again proved its mettle by instilling values of the highest quality and fostering harbingers of love and compassion. The captivating show and magical presentation won the adulation of the Director Principal, Dr Udai Verma. He congratulated the parent-teacher duo for nurturing such confident performers. He stated the fact that the school is committed to catering to all the required inputs so that our Modern Dipsites may carve a niche for themselves in all endeavours. Dr Udai Verma motivated the students to work with perseverance and set standards across the globe. The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by the young scholars of classes 3 and 4.
