School Rules

  1. Students found tampering with the school records e.g. marks allotted by teachers in assessments are liable to face strict disciplinary action.
  2. Every student should carry his almanac to school everyday.
  3. Almanac should have student’s photograph duly pasted and complete identity information duly signed by the parents/guardian.
  4. Students must carry their identity cards.
  5. Changing classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly fashion.
  6. Students should be clean and neatly dressed. The School uniform is to be worn every day and for all the school functions. Students who are sloppily dressed or not in the complete uniform will be fined 100.00.
  7. Students are advised to keep their class room/school building/campus as neat as possible and throw leftovers into the dustbins only.
  8. Students who come to school by their own transport should arrive at school before the bell rings. No student is allowed to come to school on a self-driven scooter, motorcycle or car.
  9. Those students who go home by school transport should wait at their bus stop in an orderly fashion and should not board or alight from moving buses. They should not hang out or stand on the foot board of the bus.
  10. Students should get their hair cut at regular intervals. Sikh boys of Class IX and above must wear turbans. A patka may be worn only while playing games.
  11. Students are expected to respect the property of others. They should show respect for school property also and no student should damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the walls or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher, the Head Mistress, Vice-Principal or the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by him/her.
    Any one who notices something damaged, should report the matter even if he or she does not know who has done it. Student who brings any instrument to school which can cause harm or damage to school personnel or property will be subjected to strict disciplinary action as per the school rules.
  12. The school is not responsible for goods lost. No books (other than text books or library books), Magazines, Floppies, Cassettes, CD, Pen Drive, Cell phones or money should be brought to the school without the Principal’s permission.
  13. Modern Delhi Internatioal School students should observe polite manners wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their behaviour. Bullying and using foul language are punishable offences.
    Since it is a co-ed school, it is expected that students behave in a manner which brings a good name to the school community. They should not indulge in any anti-social activity inside or outside the school.
  14. The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose conduct is harmful to other students.
  15. Parents and guardians are not allowed to visit wards or teachers in the class rooms, without the permission of the Principal.
  16. As far as possible, once a child has come to school, he/she should not be asked to go on half day or take leave for any period. No student will be allowed to go home during school hours without written permission from the Principal.
  17. Students should get their Report Cards signed by their parents/guardians within five days of the receipt of the Report cards.
  18. Students are not supposed to play truant from any teaching/ games/activity period. The time table in-charge has been directed to make alternate arrangements in case a teacher is absent.
  19. Modern Delhi International School provides education from Pre-Nursery to Class XII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors.
  20. Lending or borrowing of money and other articles is not permitted.
  21. No student shall indulge in any of the following practices:
    • (a) spitting in or near the school building.
    • (b) disfiguring or otherwise damaging any school
    • property.
    • (f) rowdyism and rude behavior.
    • (g) use of violence in any form.
    • (h) Casteism, Communalism or practice of
    • untouchability.
    • (i) bursting of crackers and playing with colors and any other such unwanted activity.
  22. The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behaviour is an essential condition to a student’s continuance in the school. In case any student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action like expulsion/suspension/rustication shall be taken against the student.
